MIKE MUHNEY
Vice President of Business Development

Mike Muhney — perhaps best known for co-inventing the highly successful ACT! software — is now responsible for developing and expanding the global market reach of beamz Interactive.

His outstanding career in the high-tech industry began with IBM in 1974 when Mike was professionally trained in their intensive sales school. In 1986, Mike and a friend founded Contact Software International after co-inventing ACT!, which went on to win more than 100 awards from PC Magazine and others.

Mike established a worldwide network for ACT! of wholesale distribution, retail, and channel-partner markets in 23 countries with a global staff. Today, after 21 years, ACT! is still the predominant contact management solution with more than 10 million users worldwide. Mike and his partners are credited with pioneering what became a new class of software and an industry unto itself — CRM (Customer Relationship Management).

Following the sale of ACT! in 1993 to Symantec Corporation, Mike has been recognized as a worldwide visionary and powerful speaker on the subject of effective business relationships. He has spoken to an estimated 150,000 people worldwide about improving the way they do business, and often is contacted for his views surrounding various commerce trends and innovations.

Mike has moved hardware, software and people to new heights. Under his guidance, more of the world will be moving to the sounds of interactive beamz music.
