While the rest of the world plays the beamz, David likes taking it apart. An engineer at heart who is infinitely fascinated by how things work, David makes the beamz sing by managing all aspects of production quality and the supply chain from start to finish.
Bringing intricate products to market is a tune he’s played before. David instituted lean manufacturing methods for Tyco Electronic’s Precision Interconnect facility in Portland, Ore., where he orchestrated the creation of medical cable devices under strict FDA regulations. He led manufacturing teams for both automotive products at Warn Industries and military power supply products at OECO Corp. There, his quality control program ensured that more than 95 percent of products were built on time with a defect rate of less than 2 percent. Cutting-edge product development under David’s direction allowed for annual revenue growth and increased profitability through lower material costs.
David also knows the importance of customer satisfaction—a critical part of his role at beamz Interactive. At his own construction company in Bend, Ore., he carefully engineered residential homes to match the needs of each customer. His "Building on a Vision" concept brought a high customer referral rate and profitable growth.
Today, David constantly has a beamz in front of him for evaluation. His previous experience – combined with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and specialty training from General Electric’s manufacturing management program – are sure to keep the beamz competitive, lean, and sounding great.
